Hello, My name is Sally. I am an approximately 15-20 year old mustang. I am not broke, but I would make a great pasture horse. My daughter Abril that I gave birth to at the Menagerie has been adopted. I am really looking for my forever home where someone would speak to me with sweet word and love me for the rest of my days. I love to be brushed and petted, and I'm very tame and I'm good with the farrier. My adoption fee is $250. For more info on me please call 435-406-6779 or send an email to the link below. Fullmer Menagerie does approve out of state adoptions, however because of limited finances and volunteers we are unable to fly our pets to their new homes. All transportation arrangements and additional expenses are the responsibility of the adopter. Please E-mail us for an adoption application at email@example.com or down load application on our website at fullmermenagerieanimalrescue.org (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-02-16-00016Justice (female)|
Hiya! I'm Momma Justice, I had a really rough life, found on ksl, skin and bones. But now I'm a happy go lucky girl. I am now at a proper weight, and am doing very well. Thanks to Jesse ( a great guy who worked at the menagerie before heading to basic training) I am now re-broke and ride able. I would make a good trail horse for someone looking for a easy ride, or a kid looking for a horse. I am an older girl so hard riding wouldn't be the best for me. My adoption fee is $500. If you would like more info on me please call 435-406-6779 or send an email to the link below. The Fullmer Menagerie Animal Rescue saw an ad on ksl.com for an older horse needing a forever home. After a very informative phone call ... they got her from an auction with a foal by her side ... they have only had her since January ... they think she is pregnant but not sure ... they wanted her foal but not her and they wanted $250 for her. None of this information added up but she needed us. Knowing this Jeannine purchased her. We have named her Momma Justice ... we hope to do her justice!! We have her on Senior Pellets, extra helpings of hay and lots of love! We have had her under saddle for a bit and she would be the best for a child or a smaller adult who would like to go for easy trail rides. This Gal Justice, is a very gentle soul. Fullmer Menagerie does approve out of state adoptions, however because of limited finances and volunteers we are unable to fly our pets to their new homes. All transportation arrangements and additional expenses are the responsibility of the adopter. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Horse in Utah|
Horses can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. Horses are beautiful, romantic animals that many people love. Sadly, however, horses are being neglected, abused, and abandoned at an alarming rate. The reasons a horse would need to be rescued are quite varied. Some horse owners in the Western U.S. have lost their homes and land to foreclosure, leaving nowhere for their horses to go. These horses are sometimes abandoned in the plains and deserts, where they often die of slow exposure. Droughts, rising food and fuel prices, and other economic pressures mean that some owners can no longer afford to feed and care for their horses. Other horses are purchased by inexperienced people for sentimental reasons or as gifts for children, but their owners are unprepared for the ongoing expense and involvement of caring for the horses.
Like horses, donkeys and mules (sterile hybrids of a horse and a donkey) have their own charm and usefulness. However, these animals have also been affected by hay shortages and some have sadly become victims of abuse or neglect.
