Health: Intact (Needs to be Fixed), Arthritis

Delete if not allowed. I have been searching for 10 years for a bay warmblood cross mare named Savannah, that I sold in 2001 to Laurie French, in Emerson, Georgia. In 2003/2004, Savannah was sold by Laurie's mom, Julia French to a gentleman near Rome, Georgia. They can't remember the man's name or exact location, so I have no leads beyond that. I am hoping someone has seen her throughout the years, please share my post to improve my chances of finding her. I want to make sure she is safe and well cared for and will provide a permanent home if necessary, no questions asked. Any information is greatly appreciated. Savannah would be mid to ... (Read More)late 20's now, approximately 15.3 hands, dark bay with large star shaped like South America and a large snip over her right nostril. No white markings on her legs. In her peak condition, she weighed around 1200#. She has a bone spur on her coffin joint in the right front foot, making special trimming/shoeing necessary. There may still be a slightly raised bump on her coronary band on the right front from the injury causing the bone spur. The attached picture is of Savannah in 1996. (Less)

Horse    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Horses
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Gelded, Needs Vaccinations

Flash loves attention! Looking for a 'forever home' for this guy. We are retiring and want to reduce our herd. He is 14.375 hands (just under 15). He is a registered QH with Conclusive and Jackie Bee lines. He is very dominant in the pasture, but sweet when you are handling him and not dominant with horse outside the pasture. He is not dog friendly in the pasture, but ok when out. Has only ridden in a snaffle bit. Very willing. Stands well for hoof trimming. Green broke--ridden on trails, but low mileage. P.S. he is 16 years old

PIease Read Before Adopting a Horse in Georgia
Horses can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. Horses are beautiful, romantic animals that many people love. Sadly, however, horses are being neglected, abused, and abandoned at an alarming rate. The reasons a horse would need to be rescued are quite varied. Some horse owners in the Western U.S. have lost their homes and land to foreclosure, leaving nowhere for their horses to go. These horses are sometimes abandoned in the plains and deserts, where they often die of slow exposure. Droughts, rising food and fuel prices, and other economic pressures mean that some owners can no longer afford to feed and care for their horses. Other horses are purchased by inexperienced people for sentimental reasons or as gifts for children, but their owners are unprepared for the ongoing expense and involvement of caring for the horses.

Like horses, donkeys and mules (sterile hybrids of a horse and a donkey) have their own charm and usefulness. However, these animals have also been affected by hay shortages and some have sadly become victims of abuse or neglect.
