Scarlett was actually rescued July 2014. her owner scould no longer afford to care for her. I am not a rider but I took her in and board her. She is ready for a forever home. I don't want her to ever go to slaughter. Submissive, no kick no bite, loads, riden in ring and some on trail. She is actually a Tennessee walker without papers. NOT GAITED. Fastest pace is walk and trot just like a walking horse. Safe for any level rider. GREAT home a must! she doesn't drink water from a bucket. Cannot just be Pasteur boarded needs feed daily.

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-25-00320Matt (male)
Matt has been a wonderful gentle horse, and was used for many years in our trail riding program. When he was in his mid 20's we just used him for pony rides. He is now 31, and we would like to find a loving home where he could enjoy the rest of his life grazing and being loved. He enjoys attention and being groomed. Matt has just had the vet and ferrier appointments , so he is current on coggins, rabies, vaccination

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-23-00249Willow (female)
I am looking for someone to take my horse. She is a 17 year old Morgan and has a horrible case of white line disease. Willow's disease is completely treatable, however, it will be a long process (at least a year). Unfortunately, I do not have the time nor the funds to take care of Willow's needs anymore. She has been part of our family for at least seven years and she is the sweetest, most loving horse I have ever known. Willow is great with kids, she loves my 4 year old daughter, and bends down to give her nuzzles. I hate to see Willow go, but I have to put her needs before my selfish wants. Willow needs to be in a facility, or with a family that can give her the extra love and attention that she requires right now. As of now, the foot is not causing Willow any pain and is completely reversible. As time goes on, this will not be the case, her foot will cause her much pain, she will fonder, and eventually have to be euthanized to release her from her pain. Please, help my find Willow a home that will be able to treat her before it is too late. I hate to even think about the pain she will endure if she can't get the help she needs. If you or anyone you know can help save my sweet Willow, please send me an email or call me. (Less)

This adoption would be for the mother/daughter pair. Arabian 17 years old with her 9 year old daughter. Both horses are healthy but have never been saddle broke. They will lead, stand for grooming and farrier.Suitable for experienced horse family with time to train. Loving horses that I must sadly rehome due to my health issues. Thanks for looking!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Horse in Georgia
Horses can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. Horses are beautiful, romantic animals that many people love. Sadly, however, horses are being neglected, abused, and abandoned at an alarming rate. The reasons a horse would need to be rescued are quite varied. Some horse owners in the Western U.S. have lost their homes and land to foreclosure, leaving nowhere for their horses to go. These horses are sometimes abandoned in the plains and deserts, where they often die of slow exposure. Droughts, rising food and fuel prices, and other economic pressures mean that some owners can no longer afford to feed and care for their horses. Other horses are purchased by inexperienced people for sentimental reasons or as gifts for children, but their owners are unprepared for the ongoing expense and involvement of caring for the horses.
Like horses, donkeys and mules (sterile hybrids of a horse and a donkey) have their own charm and usefulness. However, these animals have also been affected by hay shortages and some have sadly become victims of abuse or neglect.
