Horse Trivia: Horses evolved from small mammals with multiple toes. Horses were domesticated for human use as early as 4500 B.C. There are over 300 different horse breeds. The smallest horse in the world is a mature miniature horse named Thumbelina. She is seventeen inches tall and weighs 60 pounds.
